Reliable processes, clear areas of responsibility, and less effort for clients—these are the priorities Edwina Herrmann brings to her work at *what when why*. Since May 2023, she has served as a project manager at the Ludwigsburg-based agency, overseeing events of all scales from initial planning through to execution. In doing so, she combines her background in the hospitality and event catering sectors with a steadfast focus on the client’s perspective.
Herrmann is a qualified event management professional (*Veranstaltungskauffrau*) and holds additional professional credentials in event management. She gained her first practical experience in the hospitality industry at the age of 15. Later, at Rauschenberger Eventcatering, she took charge of specific service areas and managed the end-to-end execution of large-scale projects. This operational experience shapes her approach to the intersections between planning, service providers, and on-site implementation.
At *what when why*, Herrmann structures project management to provide clients with clear guidance throughout every phase. By establishing defined responsibilities, reliable coordination, and transparent project progress, she aims to simplify decision-making and reduce the coordination burden for clients. For her, the quality of a process is measured by how effectively it supports collaboration.
"To me, a perfect outcome is only achieved when the collaboration itself is also excellent. Throughout the entire project, clients should feel that we are providing them with direction, making decision-making easier, and taking the workload off their shoulders. That is precisely what our internal and external processes must ensure," says Edwina Herrmann, describing her professional standard.
